Mikey Wetzel made a name for himself in Salisbury after opening Go Burrito with his wife Lily in 2013.
SALIBURY, NC--(Marketwired - May 27, 2016) - Go Burrito, locally known for fresh, made-to-order California-style burritos announces plans to expand its successful brand by offering franchise opportunities for the first time.
In Mikey Wetzel’s calculation, the fast casual burrito frontier might be a competitive and crowded place, but it is far from cramped.
On Friday the fast casual, beach-themed burrito restaurant Go Burrito announced the expansion of the franchise into a new market: Florida. The Salisbury, North Carolina-based brand will open four franchised stores throughout the coastal state during the next two years, starting in Ocala, Florida. The fast casual burrito restaurant hopes to replicate its loyal Salisbury customers close to the ocean.
Go Burrito is looking to expand its footprint in the Southeast.
Mikey and Lily Wetzel are behind the fast-casual concept. The couple is considering additional locations, but also looking to sell area developer options for franchisees, either for cities or regions.
